Tricolored Heron, High Key

I have always liked the stark style of high key images and art work. In a studio (or painting) you can control the background. Winter skies are the best we can get outdoors.

When they work the main subject of the image has the complete focus, almost nothing else is seen or considered.

    1. I can imagine that. I have myself only seen the Grey heron previously. At a lake close to where I work there are several of them each winter. Last year I think I counted 40 of them next to each other along the shore line. 🙂

    2. Being in a sub-tropical area we have many different types of Herons, and Egrets. This web site must have over 1,000 different images of them. Thanks for stopping by.
