Timing, position, and light all fell into place with this shot. The Heron flew, a long distance, directly in front of me.

I have no control over how close the bird is to the reeds as the fly by. Too close and they become part of the shot and blur into it. Also there’s not a lot of room between the trail and the marsh reeds. So, it’s luck of the draw.
This day I captured several birds in the right location.
