Great Egret, Marsh Edge, And Surprises

The tall grasses and dark water can highlight the large white bird nicely. This is another good example of a large marsh environment. The large Great Egret is a small piece of the shot here.

And even better perspective is below. Photographed from the other side of the canal the dense grasses, which are on both sides, cover the area.

If you enlarge the image look on the top left, along the edge of the mud and grasses. An Alligator is laying and watching the water.

Anything living inside that grass is completely hidden. Without practice you can move along here and never see that Alligator.

Wild pigs / hogs live in there. I’ll stick to the open areas.
