I haven’t had a clear shot in months. This is the best, and yes there are sticks. This site has plenty of red-shouldered articles with less clutter, but I was getting desperate.
These are vocal birds, so we have been hearing them all along. Lately they have been stopping by high up in the pines.
Before the leaves are out hiding everything I went for these images. Had to do something.

Pete, thank you very much. There is an amazing amount of wildlife in the Lowcountry. The coast here is marshy, swamps, woods, and many ocean inlets. The perfect place for a wildlife photographer.
