I didn’t realize what I had captured at the time. I did like the shots, and set them aside. But now I have published a nest building out of sequence. Anyway…

These photographs show one of a pair discovering a spot suitable for a nest. Their are a few branches woven there already, but they must have been from a few years ago.

A lot of thought went into this, and the Heron came and went a few times. Ultimately this was the place selected.
