All these images were taken the same morning within minutes of each other. Each was shot a little different.
Above was taken at f 4.0, and 18 mm . The only thing done here is cropping to a wide format, and convert to jpg.
Above the aspect ratio is square (1×1), f 5.0 , and again just converted to jpg.
The last photograph again square, but here the shadows were pushed down making for a darker foreground.
I grouped these here as an example of how little finishing an image requires when shooting a vivid sunrise.
Canon cameras have an option where you can modify how color is captured. One of these options is ‘Landscape’ mode. The 70D model is strikingly different when the mode is changed, the 7D2 I see little difference.
Just some observations in this article, I will try not bore anyone too much with the nerd stuff.
Wildlife is the web site direction, so I’ll go back now…
These are gorgeous!! ☀️☀️☀️
Thank you very much. It was very pretty, and very early.
So tranquil and so beautiful!
These are stunning images, Ted!
Thank you so much. Same general area as the one added today. A large (huge) wildlife area. The sun came up from a different angle. Still the same beautiful marshes.
