This Tricolored was in the same general location as the Snowy Egret in an article published yesterday. Reflections are identical. These photographs were taken just a few minutes later.

A Tricolored Heron is about half the size of the Great Blue.

They do not any the crest feathers, and the inside neck and under belly are lighter in color.

The breeding season is mid spring making them a few months later than the Great Blue.
