While out working on landscape shots I noticed this Osprey circling, and diving, off over a marsh pond. None of the gear I was using would be right to capture anything so I fought the temptation to drop everything.

As I worked my way towards the water I could hear Osprey.

I didn’t last too much longer and swapped everything in my pack in hopes of catching a dive.

I did not see any close dives, fish had been caught before I made it over. It’s always great to get this type of shot so I photographed lunch for awhile.

Osprey are such beautiful birds. I’m looking forward to them returning to Oregon this spring.
They are beautiful, and exciting while diving for fish. I live in Osprey heaven, wide open marsh lands, fish, etc. However…because of that I hardly can get any photographs. They are high or far. In New England if you planned well photographs were plentiful, they fish rivers and ponds.
