Many Peeps (Or Shore Birds)

I have come to learn it is perfectly acceptable to call various shore birds ‘Peeps’. It’s because they can all look so similar even experienced naturalists get confused.

Every time I think I am completely positive of a small bird identification… I’m wrong.

There are Sanderlings, Turnstones, Dunlins and ‘Peeps’ in this gallery. There are more images than usual here, but I wanted to keep them together so I could get away with ‘Peeps’.

    1. Thanks. Really dull day. They way they run full speed everywhere is always entertaining. I hiked a long way that day to find large birds and dolphins, came back with peeps. Not what I planned, but I’ll take it 😀
