My usual publishing will probably slow down over the next few days. Projects and updating our portfolio of images (hundreds) has finally caught up.
However we are shooting daily and always writing. This group of Ibis is one of the recent subjects. They have moved to the South Carolina rookeries, and look to be missing just south of us in Florida.
I plan to check this for myself since this is one more example of changing climate.
The small swamp island above is now a new home to White Ibis.
Nice for you folks but it is another worrying sign of climate change.
Yeah, we now have several species that were only full tropical a little while ago. Now here almost year round (we are subtropical). The Redish Egret was once only in a tiny sliver of Florida. Now several are in the Charleston marshes.
