This year looks to belong to the White Ibis. They are common, and seeing them is not unusual, except the numbers of them.
At first I assumed a larger flock (these captured here) was passing through the swamps.
However, a few weeks ago we watched huge flocks out in the larger marshes. I have read there are less Ibis in Florida, which always has gazillions. Perhaps the past storms have changed the habitat somewhat.
