These are some of the most detailed photographs of Spoonbills I have taken. A pair working at the nesting site.

They worked, stopped, looked around, then continued.

They stopped and did a ‘few other things’, but I have not looked at those shots yet. Maybe keep it a private moment.

    1. Thank you. They look to be nesting near,but not too near to the Egrets and Wood Storks in this area. Another rookery about 80 miles south they were right in the deep brush mixed in with Egrets. I think given the option no other large birds would be with Egrets. They are just too aggressive. But it’s all about what’s available in an area surrounded by water for a rookery.
