This bird did not stop to look for fish, he was just passing through.
Tricolors can move around frantically, not this one though.
A straight line right past me…except to do a quick little shake.
A bird acting like this is helpful for getting a decent photo. You have a little time to do setup instead of snapping the camera up and firing away.

Walked by us while we were on a high dike looking down. Many marshes have higher dikes between the water ways. Find an open spot, no grasses, and with luck something is around.
