One of the great things is to actually hear them fly by. The wing span is huge and they can make noise when flying low.

    1. It is. I love being out in the far marshes and suddenly hear the sounds of big wings beating. It means a) a stork is coming b) raise the camera and spin around like a top to find him 🙂

    1. We work mostly in the Lowcountry marshes/swamps of SC, however Florida is very close. And Yes this was in Florida, maybe near Merritt but not as far south as Wakodahatchee.
