Owl, Frog, And A Cypress Tree

I was trying to find an open spot with no branches when this Owl dropped down into the water. Of course it was the far side of the cypress tree. I was able to circle around to get between a few large bushes for this shot.

It was dark so I did not see the Bull Frog at first.

It was a great spot for me to photograph given the cypress tree roots, swamp water, and reflections. A little more light would have been good, but Owls usually are not that accommodating.

    1. Thanks. We know they hunt in that location, but still hit or miss. The mate was above giving her ‘owl’ calls. 200 shots so there must be another good one. My speed was slow because it was so dark. After dawn, but dense bamboo and cypress.

    1. 🙂 I didn’t see the frog at first and still didn’t know what it was. I do hope some of the others are good. I deleted most as soon as I copies them to the PC.
