If they are closely matched both can eat.

The other consideration is when a disagreement gets rough, like this one, a juvenile can be pushed off the nest.

With luck they have learned enough to fly a short distance to safety.

This ended with no damage to either. As sudden as it started, that’s how quickly it ended. But it was loud for the moment.
