There are always opportunities at the fountains.
Kids are encouraged to cool off in our 2 big fountains by the harbor. By summers end I will have hundreds of images. They just have so much fun !

That’s very joyous and lovely!
One of those places you could shoot continuously. One of the fountains there (pineapple) has been said to be the most photographed landmark in the US. Makes sense since we have as many tourists as Washington DC.
Wow, that must be a lot of tourists visiting! The fountains are lovely, and the photo of the boy enjoying the water is wonderful!
Charleston is the number one tourist destination, and has been for a number of years. Old southern charm, horse drawn carriages, history, restaurants, and ….traffic. 😀. Which the tourist don’t see, but we do.
The whole area was really marshes, swamps, and rivers. The famous southern plantations were outside Charleston. I was born and raised in NYC, so this is completely different for me.
As expected the place is growing too fast, but we chose to be just outside town and still have all the wildlife and nature close by.
Just an aside here, the number of serious, professional photographers that have moved or live here is beyond belief. The area is also the #1 wedding destination. We need to have our ‘A’ game at all times 😂😂😂.
Fascinating Ted! Thanks for all that interesting background!
