In an old city like Charleston each window has a story. Well, not all. But the ones worth looking at certainly do.
I always enjoy windows of the galleries that are all around town. The side windows highlight the treasures of the back rooms.
The plantings are on display almost all year round. Many of the boxes were built many years ago. You have these homes it is moral responsibility to care for the plantings.
Of course not all here are perfect. I should say not perfect ‘yet’. If an old building is not renovated now, it is currently in the process.
And one of the best is what I call the ‘southern’ window. Might be on the first floor, or above. But they are tall, floor to (not quite) ceiling. White trim of course.
My dog loves them. She doesn’t even need to stand to watch the world.
