Most of the photographs this year have avoided any subjects that can make people uncomfortable. I see nothing gained by the ugly side of wildlife unless it is important information for a particular series of images.
Below is a typical struggle for dominance in a nest, which is important come feeding time.
In a few moments the tables will turn and the other will chew on their sibling. They are evenly matched for size.
Until they leave the nest food will be fought over each time it is brought by an adult.
It’s all about survival I guess. Interesting captures.
This was a normal push and shove. There are times you almost want to stop documenting. Those shots are just set aside for research later.
