This was like John Travolta, Saturday Night Fever.

A young Great Blue climbed to the nest tree top and started the ‘flight school’ practice.

His Tai Chi moves were impressive.


He did get about a foot in the air and did a spin to face in the other direction. A cool move.

Once he actually takes that leap of faith it is no where near this graceful. Panic sets in as they start to head towards water and wild wing flapping saves the day.

They usually crash land in a tree over the water edge. Other times it’s a hard landing on one of the trails here. That is also an adventure since I occupied the same space on the trail the other day. No fear of me, just that Alligator infested water.
