This Great Blue was flying low around the rookery. Because of the trees I only spotted him at the last minute.
Images like these, when crisp, show the details on their enormous feet. The claws are huge on these birds.
You can hear them at this distance, their wing span is over 6 feet.

Thanks. I have not been shooting them in flight lately other birds have taken over the rookery. The last week or so I have paid a little more attention to them. 😀
