Watch where you walk is a good rule, it’s just not the only one. Probably just ‘Watch Out’ is a little better.
I’m pretty sure this is a Brown Water Snake, but a Cotton Mouth with some mud on it is real close. And you don’t want to hit your head with a Cotton Mouth, oh no.
We had 4 people, the last person in line spotted him at shoulder high. That means 3 of us walked right by… me being first in line of course.
I put a ‘Like’ on as acknowledgement but I was horrified! The dangers you face are even more than I imagined – that snake seems huge to me (although I suspect the aggression of any particular species and how venomous it is would be more of a concern than size).
😀, the dangers are very minimal. While there certainly are more things around here to be aware of than living up in a northern city actually getting hurt is very rare. Truth be told…it’s a hell of a lot of fun !!!! 😝😝.
Its great to hear how much enjoyment you guys get out of it! … Just you and Ellen take care please!
I will LOL, (as I sit in my air conditioned office) Thanks
Hahaha! Are you on holiday/having a rest break at home? You still seem to be publishing plenty of posts!
We took 4 days off, but had published items on a schedule. And I did cheat a few times and took a small bag of gear with me. When we go out, and have a good day, the number of opportunities is incredible. At this point after so much practice (years) we can usually take advantage of decent photo ops… even if we mess up a bunch 😂😂. So photographs are typically backed up.
That is one beautiful snake, Ted! I am very glad you or anybody else did not hit your head on it!
LOL, worse than it sounds. Reality is they were here first and nobody (almost) has a problem.
