This series started with a Tricolored spotting me and making a quick jump into the air.
As luck would have it I was in a good spot to pan with the bird as he flew off.
Above is the first shot as the Heron realized I was there.
The distance was also in my favor allowing me to zoom in with his flight. This is where my big 150-600 mm lens pays off.
I probably let up on the shutter a little too soon. In the past I have followed action into the sun further than I should have. Not good for my eyes, or the camera. I try not to make that mistake again.
