A blue sky and a colorful male Pelican is always worthy of a shot. As breeding season starts the head feathers will become a distinct yellow.
Brown Pelicans are one of the smaller species. It’s all relative, they are still a decent size bird.

I love these birds. We did not have any in New England and I always associated them with the far south oceans. Now I can photo them whenever I want ! That’s cool !!
