We have photographed, and published, this amazing bird before. Despite being blind in one eye he can fly, glide, and dazzle in the air.
If set free he could not capture moving prey, they have tried to teach him but he misses the catch most times.
He has learned to work with a handler to ‘find’ food when he see’s it placed on a tree or log.
I guess he pays his way by demonstrating raptors in flight for the Center For Birds Of Prey. He is a charmer (if a raptor can be) and appears at fund raisers which keep the rehab center running.
