A small flock of Spoonbills flew by, hidden at first by some marsh grass.

Lucky for me they gained just enough height to make interesting shots.

    1. Thank you. In flight shots are hard and take lots of practice, which I am most fortunate to get. The old argument about it not being the gear I don’t totally agree with. We have different cameras, and lens, used for different types of shots. I have a camera body I love and am very familiar with (Canon 70D), but it doesn’t work for me with in flight. A Sony 6500, new mirrorless system and great, not in flight. Canon 7D2, we have multiples and yes, it’s perfect for in flight. Lens, my Tamron locks slow, yet Sigma is a very fast focus. Both good lens and companies.

I get in flight with all the above, but some are much more consistent than others. For me it’s practice and gear…and lots of deletes of course.

      Thanks.
