I shot this in a corner of a marsh that was almost dry. This area is tidal and I guess the ocean was dead low.
Even though the shore is not really close our area is called the ‘Lowcountry’, at sea level. Everything around here is subject to the sea.
BTW, Little Blue Herons are actually white for the first 18 months or so. Green legs and the shape of their head and beak let us ID them.
