Below is an adult Little Blue. Except for a few lighter feathers running down front of the neck they are slate blue. Breeding season there is even a vivid magenta color.

Both juvenile and adult have the darker tipped bill. Also their head is a uniform round shape, unless they raise the head feathers and then it looks like a small crest.

This adult may have just lost all the first year white feathers since the legs still have a small green tinge to them.
