This image is one of a group I have held aside for about a month. One morning was a good news / bad news type situation.
Flocks of all the big wading birds had moved into a marsh pond. However, the light was coming up harsh and fast.
There were too many opportunities to ignore and I shot a huge number of photographs knowing many would be grainy and out of focus. It was a numbers game that morning. Some would be good, I just needed to shoot enough.
This in-flight Wood Stork was a good example. I must have 15 – 20, but this was the only one I could publish.
Now I only have a gazillion more to review from that morning.
