This was taken at an old Great Blue nest site. The juvenile Little Blue was flying around the swamp and decided to rest here. A good safe choice. At this size the only air borne predator is an Eagle, and they would think twice just on sheer size.
At some point this winter the winds and rain will take this nest down. Until then it’s a spot many of the birds will use to rest. Just as important it is a great location to photograph.
