Against all odds, he is still here.
Over a few months I have photographed a group of 4 baby Wood Ducks. The group recently was only 2. And now this young male is the only one around.
He also has only 1 wing.

Tough life for these little creatures.
Especially where this one is. Yet, here he is. I went to a larger swamp later and found whole families of growing young. They manage.
