Most of the Anhinga have moved out to the big marshes. This is one of the few that have stayed around.

A female, it may be one of the birds raised here.

There is food here, and nearby marshes, all year round so there really is no reason to leave.

Nothing freezes over and worse case the Atlantic Ocean and inlets is right down the road.
