This is  ‘spider’ time of year. They are about as big as they will get, have mated, and the eggs have hatched.

They’re pretty big now. So are some of their flying food so it’s a trade off.

It will probably be only another few weeks we need to dodge large webs along paths and trails. Of course just when you think it’s safe…
