The first photograph here was taken at just about the perfect halfway point of this walk. Of course the first sign of a storm came there too.

This is an old dike with marsh on the left, and ahead. The Ashley river on my right flows down into Charleston, South Carolina.

This storm never did hit, it moved over us quickly. Which was great even though it might have cooled us for a few minutes.
The humidity from a quick midday storm can be brutal, it was already probably about 80% here.

Even on a slow day a walk like this can get us photo ops with Herons, Eagles, Egrets, and of course Alligators.
