Rule 101 of nature photography. Don’t stop shooting too soon.

This is not film and you never can tell what will happen. Too many times a photographer stops shooting, thinking the action is over, only to miss the last great piece.

The Great Blue claimed the best spot on the dead tree. This could (should) have been the end.

But, no. Plucking a Spoonbill feather just to make his point.
This is critical for sports photography also. Think of getting the winning goal of a soccer match. Let up too soon and you miss the goalie surprise and the scorer celebration.
