The other day we were out early, for sunrise and ‘golden hour’ shooting. This time of year, right after first light, the sun is low on the horizon with glare everywhere.

Since we are typically around water the bad light is amplified, a lot.
Overall we had a morning filled with great opportunities. These marshlands are incredible. However I struggled with glare, and more often than not it won.

Given enough chances some things will work out. This Night Heron, in half shade, made up for some of the missed shots.
Lovely Heron!
Discreet!
