This is an event. Wood Storks arriving to feed, some coming in as a full flock. Even with noise from other birds already in the marsh you can hear the beat of their enormous wings.

It is special.

There are many different species of large wading birds here but none are as exciting when they fly low overhead. You can’t help but duck your head a little bit.
