When Photographing Alligators Look Around

I say that because if one is around a few more should be also. This means the temperature is about right for them.

Walking along a dike I spotted this large one watching the water, and yes my side of the small canal. Look at him, obviously he had no plans of trouble, or even moving.

However, I turned back to where I had just walked and this gator must have been sitting in the reeds waiting for me to leave.

They do that. Why cause trouble when they can just sit until you’re gone. There are little gator trails all along these dikes.

Another had surfaced near the first, along the reeds.

There’s nothing unusual or sinister about this, it’s just another photo op for a series like this.
