I can’t ID this bird, but the size and beak point to a tern. Gull’s are heavier and not don’t hunt like this.

I had been following King Fisher on the other side of this dike when the tern caught my eye. He was circling and hovering. I think I changed direction because nothing is more frustrating than a King Fisher.

Larger and slower (still a fast bird) I knew I could catch him fishing.
