This is a hard bird to find, and yet I have seen 2 within a week or so. Usually it’s years between sightings.

Something I didn’t know was these birds can eat ‘hairy’ caterpillars. Even the nasty ‘tent’ caterpillar is prey. That’s important since there are times the ‘tent’ will eat thousands of trees. Nothing wants to eat them so they reproduce in billions.

Yes, and I usually miss them totally because Ellen does thensmall birds. So nice to see another one.
