When Wood Storks are coming to feed they first circle high above looking over the whole area.

As they finally come in to land it could be from any direction and lower than I usually anticipate.

These photographs were taken as groups of birds dropped down to eat in a long marsh canal. Hidden by reeds of course so I couldn’t see any of that. I did get the approach though.
