I find a White Pelican really doesn’t do anything dramatic. Yes, they are big, fly in nice V shaped flocks, and can be acrobatic. However, I don’t know if they can be called ‘exciting’.
Perhaps calm and fun to see is a good description.
A Few White Pelicans
I agree with all your descriptions of the White Pelicans, but I honestly do find it very exciting to see them, too! I’m always struck by how huge they are. A few years ago I happened by a lake in Central Florida just as a migration of literally thousands of white pelicans was passing over!! They literally filled the sky and covered the lake – so majestic!
When they come ‘en mass’ it is amazing. Yesterday AM we had a small mass of a few hundred and that was great.
