I don’t think it was the Spoonbills coloring, I don’t know what caused this almost purple cast.

I also checked my camera white balance, rarely used settings, and photo options I have never used. The file was shot as RAW (no automatic color options).

I can’t even blame reflected sunlight, it was cloudy.

Anyway, here is a Spoonbill, in a rather strange pink’ish’ coloration.
