At first I had no clear shot of this bird so I did my usual ‘look the other way’ walk by. I have found if you ignore a wading bird completely, like you never noticed them, most will stay comfortable right there.

I didn’t bother the bird and he just did a lazy lift off, low and slow. Right through a nice open spot in the brush.

I was able to grab these photographs as he flew through.

The Egret moved a very short way to a stand of reeds to fish, I got the few images. A win for both.
