I really wish we had these egrets here in Northern Virginia–I like a bird with an attitude. 🙂 During warmer weather we have Great Egrets, but they have all headed south for the winter, so I content myself with Great Blue Herons until spring. Your image,Ted, does a great job in capturing the personality of this cool bird.
Thanks Mike. These Snowy’s are the feisty ones in the swamps. We had a small wading bird rookery by our house but last year it was empty. Still we do have an unfair number here.
