Each afternoon, a little before dusk, the building activity goes into high gear. Food and scratching seem to take up most of the mornings.
I always remember after a few days how each year evenings are construction time. Just when we lose light of course.
As the spring comes that changes since it’s light longer. Another catch though, this rookery gets sunset glare in the same direction as flying Herons.
Maybe we appreciate the good shots more because of this extra work (yeah right).
