Ha, almost published with the wrong identification! Just caught myself in time.
Because the juvenile Little Blue Heron is pure white when young they easily get confused with the Snowy Egret. To add more confusion a young Snowy has leg coloring like a Little Blue.
Probably too much info for non wildlife/bird people so I’ll stop.

The original direction here was reflections and marsh mud. With a good angle and camera settings this pluff mud actually makes a nice back ground. Pluff mud smell can knock you over but luckily technology has not come far enough to include it here.

There isn’t much water in this marsh now, and the critters love the easy fishing. I have caught an enormous number of nice detailed images here. Most just have too much mud to publish.
