I was a little confused at first, well for a long time actually.
We have the normal street addresses like 44 Bay street, 46 Bay street, etc. We also can have a 44 1/2 Bay street. How on earth do you have a half address ?

Like this, that’s how.
Look down a cobble stone alley, a small sideways street, whatever. Small houses are buried away.
They are renovated carriage houses, stables, old servant buildings. Some restored, some complete redesigned.
Above is a small building that looks redesigned. Modern now, probably started out 250 years ago.
This town is filled with surprises.
The first house is SO gorgeous! There’s some narrow houses in Dunedin too. Maybe I can find some when we’re there next time 🙂
Old Charleston is an adventure with these houses. Some date back to the early 1700’s. Which is old in the US, especially given the hurricanes and wars here.
I had been so busy playing with the wildlife my other work was ignored. I am now trying to get back to the old houses and architecture more often.
