Somehow they remain ‘almost’ white.

White wading birds have this amazing ability to shed dirt. A trait I could use. Ibis love mud, get dirty, but do keep fairly clean.
To prove this point the Ibis below took a step, and down in a hole. Waist deep in muck he kept on going never missing a step. And, came out white anyway.
