He is a little large to be hanging with photographers, but no one wants to tell him.
He was watching me with the camera so I captured the swamp and trees behind me, in his eye. Didn’t see that until I opened the image.
This is not the first time he has taken my spot. The best unobstructed place for catching the Herons in flight.
I can stand on either side of him and we are good. It’s still not the best spot though.
I wonder how early I have to arrive to beat him to it.
Excellent shot Ted. I’d always give him wide berth😏
We really couldn’t after a while. His ‘wide berth’ stretched across the trail. I have a few more shots to finish and will include another closeup.
Funny thing, there was a photographer on either side of him, maybe a car length away. 😂. At one point he moved and I thought he was going in the water. No way, he stretched, wiggled his paws, deep sigh, fell asleep. Very funny.
